The Cooper Tennis Complex

This complex features 12 outdoor and 6 indoor tennis courts, plus a lighted stadium court that is home to the Springfield Lasers.

This bowling center is a complete family fun center. As Springfield’s largest bowling facility, it features pool tables and video games and The Greater Ozarks Open is held here.

The perfect place to have a picnic, play sports with friends or just enjoy the outdoors. The park features a large public pool, a softball field, a basketball court, 2 tennis courts, picnic tables and open shelters.

Always free, this park is a fantastic place to bring your lunch or play Frisbee. It features historical timeline murals and displays depict Springfield events over the last 100 years. The amphitheater serves as seating for the outdoor movie series & live performances.

The 7 1/2-acre Stroll Garden at Nathanael Greene Park features winding paths and bridges through a beautiful landscape, including a moon bridge, a teahouse and a waterfall.

Ozark Greenways Trails
All around the Springfield area

A local nonprofit citizens group preserving the Ozarks’ natural heritage through development of a greenway trail network for public use. Trails are free and are open from sunrise to sunset. Trails include: Frisco Highline Trail, Galloway Creek Greenway, South Creek Greenway, Sac River Trail. Log onto its website to find out more, including maps.

The State Park Marina at Table Rock Lake in Branson offers a wide variety of water sports activities, including boat rental, wave runners, parasailing and more. The marina also offers daily cruises on the Spirit of America, a 48-foot sailing catamaran.


Wilson’s Creek Greenway Trail

This 10-mile walking and biking trail will ultimately extend from Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield to Meador Park, and links Nathanael Greene Park and Horton Smith Golf Course along the way. Parking is available at various points along the trail, allowing for a walk as short or long as you wish.
