Candy Cornman
Director of Safety & SecurityYes. Campus security works in partnership with the Springfield police department. We have a police substation near campus that we have access to for campus security.
We have 24/7 security on campus. If a student doesn’t feel comfortable walking on their own, we have security available to walk or drive them back to their car or housing. To request an escort, call (417) 873-7911.
Drury has an emergency alert system. Students are automatically signed up to receive both email and text alerts. Families can sign up for text alerts as well.
Drury Safety and Security holds active shooter training for staff, faculty, and students every year. We also hold training for fire and tornado drills throughout the year for the entire campus.
