SPRINGFIELD, Mo., March 6, 2025 – As Drury University launches its annual Match Madness fundraising drive, the O’Reilly and Wooten families have once again generously stepped forward. Rosalie O’Reilly Wooten ‘64, Anya and Larry O’Reilly ‘68, and Stacey and David O’Reilly ‘71 are offering to provide up to $1.5 million total in matching funds to support student success. The O’Reilly-Wooten Challenge runs until May 31, 2025, and all donations designated to the Student Success Fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar.
“The O’Reilly and Wooten families are happy to offer the O’Reilly-Wooten Challenge as a way to thank Drury for all it has done for us and to inspire other alumni and friends to join us in supporting students,” said Rosalie O’Reilly Wooten. “We are pleased to offer others a chance to participate in the success of Drury and its students.”
As part of Match Madness, donors will have the opportunity to designate their gifts to one of several targeted areas within the Student Success Fund:
“The O’Reilly-Wooten 150th Anniversary Challenge brought a record number of donors and dollars for Drury student support last year and we are beyond excited that the family has decided to issue a match again this year to help kick-off our largest fundraising drive for student success, Match Madness,” Drury President Dr. Jeff Frederick said. “Drury students become graduates who have found their people and purpose and developed the skills to change their world. This has been true for 151 years, and our model of personalized education continues to make a difference. We invite all who love and believe in Drury and what we do to join us in the O’Reilly-Wooten Challenge paving the way for Drury to continue to be Drury in service to our students, community, and beyond.”
