“Throughout my career whether serving on boards, or working directly for a non-profit, I have seen the incredible difference they make in our community, state, and nation.  At Drury, we hope to match that passion and commitment of non-profits with world-class educational opportunities to help make them even more effective.  The non-profit sector currently employs over 10% of our country’s workforce, and we look forward to providing resources to have employees even better prepared for that important work,” said Fogle.

Before joining the CFO in 2008, Brian Fogle spent 30 years in banking in Springfield. He has been active in numerous civic and nonprofit groups. Currently, he chairs the Good Community Committee, the Missouri College Access Network, and the Rural Schools Collaborative. He also serves on the Boards of the Missouri Scholarship and Loan Foundation, and Restore SGF. He received the O. Franklin Kenworthy Leadership Award in 1990, the National Community Leadership Award in 1993, and the Springfieldian Award in 2010. In December 2011, Drury awarded him an honorary doctorate of humane letters.

“Brian has spent his career providing leadership and service to the greater Springfield area. Drury is fortunate to have Brian engaging with our students and teaching them how to impact their community,” said Beth Harville, University Provost.

Whereas CFO’s mission is to enhance the quality of life in our region through resource development, community grantmaking, collaboration, and public leadership, Brian hopes to transpose this mission into the work Drury will do with student-focused leadership development. This continued collaboration will provide many opportunities for students to work with more non-profit organizations in Springfield and beyond.
