St. Robert, MO, November 7, 2023 – Drury GO’s St. Robert campus will host Paralegal Night on November 17 at 6:30 p.m., aimed at introducing the community to the upcoming Associate of Science in Paralegal Studies program, scheduled to launch at Fort Leonard Wood in Spring 2024.
Paralegal Night will be held at 194 Eastlawn Ave., St. Robert, MO 65584. The event will feature distinguished guests, including Dr. Kevin Hillman, Pulaski County Prosecuting Attorney; Dr. Matt Miller from Lowe, Dreessen, & Miller; and Aaron Jones, JD, LLM, General Counsel for Drury University. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the program, ask questions and gain valuable insights into the exciting field of paralegal studies.
Drury GO’s Associate of Science in Paralegal Studies program provides a comprehensive understanding of the essential principles, doctrines, rules and structural elements of the American legal system and the practice of law. The curriculum covers American court systems, constitutional law, criminal law, civil law (including torts, contract law and family law), legal research, legal writing, discovery and interviewing and investigating. The program also includes a Legal Practicum, an unpaid internship with a practicing attorney, offering practical experience and real-world application of legal concepts. Graduates will be well-equipped to pursue fulfilling careers in a wide variety of legal practices.
The program is eligible for various forms of financial assistance, including tuition assistance, veteran’s benefits, and the Military Spouse Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) Scholarship. The program is designed to accommodate both seated and online classes, providing flexibility for students with diverse schedules.
Nancy Sipes, Interim St. Robert/Fort Leonard Wood Director, expressed enthusiasm about the program’s arrival in Fort Leonard Wood.
