SPRINGFIELD, Mo., July 2, 2020 — Drury University is proud to announce the Breech School of Business Administration has earned re-accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, also known as AACSB International.
Synonymous with the highest standards of excellence since 1916, AACSB provides quality assurance, business education intelligence, and learning and development services to more than 1,700 member organizations and more than 840 accredited business schools worldwide. The organization’s accreditation process is distinctive: less than 5 percent of the world’s business programs hold this honor. The Breech School of Business Administration has been accredited by AASCB International since 2010.
“Earning reaccreditation with AACSB involves a rigorous process of review and continual improvement, and successfully meeting such high standards is a testament to the dedication of our faculty and staff to student learning and success,” says Dr. Clif Petty, interim dean of the Breech School. “This is truly a confirmation of the high quality of a Drury University business degree.”
The accreditation standards require excellence in areas relating to strategic management and innovation; student, faculty, and staff as active participants; learning and teaching; and academic and professional engagement. The process also involves engagement with an AACSB-assigned mentor and peer-reviewed evaluation. Reviewers noted the strength of the Breech School’s new MBA curriculum, an interdisciplinary degree program in cybersecurity and a well-structured program of faculty development.
The Breech School of Business Administration has a long history of producing graduates who demonstrate the highest standards of excellence in business and ethical leadership across the globe, thanks to its combination of professional training and a grounding in the liberal arts tradition.
The school continues to innovate and evolve, including with the recent announcement of the MBA Ventures program, launching this fall. The Breech School will move into a new facility, the Enterprise Center, by 2022. A groundbreaking ceremony for the building is scheduled for later this year.
