SPRINGFIELD, Mo., June 29, 2020 — Drury University now offers a graduate certificate in Data Leadership, with classes starting in August.
The 12-credit hour online program can be completed in just nine months. Students will gain the skills they need to organize, analyze and use the vast amount of data available in today’s business environment to create evidence-based solutions to problems.
“Many people understand that data should be driving decisions in their organization, but they are not sure where to begin in creating a data-driven culture,” says Dr. Kelley Still-Nichols, program instructor and content specialist. “This program will give them clarity and confidence to take a leadership role in this area.”
The certificate can be completed as a standalone program or be applied to the new Master in Integrative Leadership degree, which allows students to combine two certificates of their choosing to create a customizable master’s degree that suits their needs.
The four courses cover topics that include: Statistical Data Analysis and Visualization, Advanced Data Analysis, Data Driven Project Management and Leading with Data.
“The program is ideal for those who are sitting on a trove of data in Excel or other software but need help interpreting the story behind the numbers, regardless of their field or skill level,” Still Nichols says. “Leaders need to know, not guess, what the data is telling them.”
The deadline to enroll is August 10. For more information visit www.drury.edu/graduate, or contact Dr. Lori Slater at (417) 873-7267 or lslater002@drury.edu.
