SPRINGFIELD, Mo., October 9, 2020 — Drury University hosts the 9th annual Nonprofit Leadership Conference on Friday, Oct. 30. This year’s conference is a virtual, half-day event with the theme “Nonprofits Navigating Change: Finding the New North.”
The Drury Leadership Collaborative, formerly the Center for Nonprofit Leadership, is organizing the conference. In order to ensure a highly engaging and polished virtual event, Drury organizers are teaming up with Crowdcast, a third-party live video service with extensive experience hosting and moderating virtual events.
Conference speakers hail from across the Ozarks and the country. The event features three tracks, designed for key audiences:
Cora Scott, Director of Public Information & Civic Engagement for the City of Springfield will present the keynote address “Staying Connected While Standing Apart.” Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Drury in 1990. Since joining the City of Springfield in 2012, she has been instrumental in transforming the Department of Public Information & Civic Engagement to adapt to emerging opportunities, changing technology and best practices.
Registration is open now through the day of the conference. Cost is $60 per person. Conference organizers are offering one free board member registration for every paid board member registration at the regular rate of $60 per person. To take advantage of this opportunity, register and pay for one member, then email leadershipcollaborative@drury.edu with the name of the registered board member and the additional board member’s name and email address to receive the free registration.
Conference benefits include access to downloadable tools and resources that can help your organization chart a new course, interactive sessions with presenters, access to video recordings of all conference sessions following the event, and a post-conference action plan to propel your organization forward.
