SPRINGFIELD, Mo., January 29, 2020 — A new partnership between Drury University and Ozarks Technical Community College will make it possible for OTC students who earn an associate of applied science degree in graphic design technology to continue their education and pursue a bachelor of arts degree in graphic and digital design at Drury.
OTC provost Dr. Tracy McGrady and Drury University provost Dr. Beth Harville recently signed an articulation agreement that grants students from OTC status as a junior in Drury’s art and art history program upon admission if they have completed the associate degree requirements through OTC. Drury’s graphic design degree is for students who wish to pursue a career in graphic design, web development, commercial photography, art direction, and user experience design; or who plan to seek admittance into a graduate program in the visual arts.
“It has been a pleasure to work with our colleagues at OTC to create this articulation agreement; we are excited to have students come to Drury to build on the skills they have learned while studying at OTC, ” says Rebecca Miller who serves as the art, art history, and arts administration program chair at Drury. “These students will be able to complete their bachelor’s degree within two years at Drury and we look forward to working with them to further prepare them for careers in the expansive field of design.”
Drury University and OTC are regionally accredited universities by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
