SPRINGFIELD, Mo., April 7, 2025 – Beginning in the fall, Drury University will introduce a new on-line certificate for individuals who want to facilitate efficient use of data in a variety of contexts. The Data-Driven Leadership Certificate is designed for current managers and executive directors, aspiring leaders, and project and product managers.

The Data-Driven Leadership Certificate consists of four, three-hour courses which can be completed over the course of one academic year. Those courses include:

  • Professional Excel
  • Data Literacy and Data-Driven Culture
  • Data Visualization, AI Insights, and Storytelling
  • Effective Project Management

Data-driven leadership empowers leaders to make well-informed, timely, and strategic decisions. The four courses emphasize practical skills, critical thinking, and foundational concepts in data, analytics, and storytelling to empower leaders to interpret data insights and guide their teams and organizations effectively.

“Leaders who are skilled in data literacy are critical to the success of teams, organizations, and communities, ” says Dr. Regina Waters, Director of Drury’s Leadership Collaborative. “The four courses in the Data-Driven Leadership Certificate sharpen proficiency and enhance confidence in using Excel, evaluating information, communicating complex ideas to inform decisions, and managing projects. It is the ‘must-have’ graduate credential for professionals in diverse roles and fields.”

The Data-Driven Leadership Certificate can be applied toward the Master’s in Integrative Leadership, a 30-hour credit hour degree featuring stackable certificates. The inaugural cohort is forming now and individuals who apply by May 31 can request an application fee waiver code. Please click here for more information.
