SPRINGFIELD, Mo., Dec. 7, 2020 — Drury University will host a free, virtual Q&A session at 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 14 about the Missouri Fast Track program.
The program helps adults pursue a certificate, degree, or industry-recognized credential through grants that cover the full cost of tuition for certain programs in areas designated as “high need” for the state’s workforce.
Fast Track grants are available for online, seated and hybrid courses through Drury GO – a new evolution of the university’s respected evening and online programs. Drury GO accelerates opportunities for students to gain new skills, earn credentials and meet career goals on their own terms. Drury GO offers more than 30 degree programs, with online options and eight campus locations across southern Missouri, including: Ava, Fort Leonard Wood, Houston, Lebanon, Monett, Rolla, St. Robert and Springfield.
Because state funding for Fast Track grants are limited, the university is doubling its current Drury GO scholarship for new students from $500 to $1,000 for anyone who qualifies for but does not receive a Fast Track grant from the state. Certain enrollment criteria must be met to be eligible.
“Fast Track grants are a game-changer for people who want to take charge of their careers and earnings potential in this time of change and uncertainty,” says Drury President Dr. Tim Cloyd. “But we know there are a lot of questions about how it works. Our regional Drury GO staffers are hearing these questions every day, and we want to help people make the most of this opportunity by answering their questions.”
