Founded in 2015 by the endowment in honor of Professor L.E. Meador, the Drury University Meador Center for Politics and Citizenship is dedicated to the academic inquiry of politics and citizenship in the modern world. The work of the Meador Center is to inspire and engage Drury University students and faculty to work toward that “more democratic and more hopeful world” of which Professor Meador spoke.
The Meador Center for the Study of Politics and Citizenship awards annual scholarships for students to study abroad/study away opportunities. The scholarship is worth $2,500. The scholarship will be used to support study away (such as internships in Washington, DC) or study abroad, as it is generally used to offset the administrative fee, thus reducing the overall cost to the student.
PLEASE NOTE THAT TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP, YOU MUST BE A DECLARED POLITICAL SCIENCE MAJOR!
To be considered for the Study Abroad / Study Away Scholarship, applicants should provide the information below and submit this form.
The board will evaluate applications on a combination of the following: quality of the application, how well it fits with Professor Meador’s vision and academic merit.
