Soak Up Springfield is an annual business and non-profit showcase! This is an event hosted on Drury University’s campus that provides the Drury community with an interactive and hands on opportunity to connect with Springfield leaders, non-profit organizations, and businesses. It is our hope students walk away from this event with a better understanding of all the amazing opportunities for entertainment, food, internships, resources, and community service experiences Springfield has to offer.

It is encouraged for participating groups to bring information about their organization and giveaway items for students. All giveaways and coupons should be given freely; students should not have to register or give their contact information to receive it. Various students may wish to receive information from your business, and you may collect contact information from interested students.

A small space is provided behind your reserved table along with 2 chairs (extra giveaways and materials are to be stored behind the table space so it doesn’t block walkways). Items that do not fit within reserved table space are strongly discouraged and must be approved (this includes any canopies you bring). Canopies that fit in your designated area are recommended to help protect from the sun. A limited number of electrical outlets are available upon request. Plan to bring your own extension cord. There will be a water station available during the event.

Registration opens: July 1st, 2024 at 8am

Registration deadline: September 25th at 5pm

Event date and time: October 2nd, 2024 from 11:00am-1:00pm

Costs:

  • $100 for businesses (or $50 if the group brings $50+ worth of giveaways)
  • $25 for 501(c)(3) organizations

Drury University Community Partner Consent, Acknowledgement, and Release

The undersigned, on behalf of the organization identified herein, and as an authorized representative with authority to bind the organization identified herein, hereby acknowledges that the organization has requested to be a vendor with Drury University and agrees to the terms, conditions, and responsibilities outlined in this Registration Form. The organization acknowledges that their request to participate in the event may be denied. The organization identified herein agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Drury University, its students, faculty, staff, employees, volunteers, trustees, officers, and agents from and against all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, liabilities, costs, and suits arising out of or resulting from this event and/or any personal injury or damages to any organization volunteer, employee, staff, officer, agent, or member in connection with the work or service performed in connection with this Memorandum of Understanding or any partnership between Drury University and the organization. The organization agrees for the information provided pursuant to this Registration Form to be represented on the Drury webpage and in social media and volunteer recruitment efforts.
**Needs to be completed by someone from your agency with legal authority to give consent. Electronic signature is the legal equivalent of manual signature.
