Drury University > Life at Drury > Get Involved > Student Music Therapy Association

About the Organization
Student Music Therapy Association (SMTA) is a student organization designed to help music therapy students deepen their understanding of the field and practice of music therapy. We provide opportunities for volunteerism and advocacy in the community to increase awareness of the therapeutic uses of music. SMTA meets bi-monthly to learn new musical styles, build community amongst its members, discuss current trends in the field, and plan fundraisers. While SMTA is a departmental organization, we host monthly open mic nights that are open to everyone on-campus and off-campus! We encourage anyone who wants to perform to email us and sign up!

Meetings:Meetings are monthly (place, times, and dates are determined at the start of each semester).

How to Join: Express interest to a club officer, or attend a meeting and sign up there.
