Leadership Opportunities

Drury University > Housing & Residence Life > Leadership Opportunities

Welcome to Drury University, where we believe in empowering students through various leadership opportunities within our residential communities. Whether you’re interested in promoting safety, fostering community, or enhancing campus life, there are several avenues for you to grow as a leader right here in housing.

Resident Assistant (RA) and Community Assistant (CA) Opportunities

Resident Assistants (RAs) and Community Assistants (CAs) play a crucial role in fostering a positive living and learning environment within our residence halls. These student leaders serve as mentors, advocates, and resources for their peers. Responsibilities include:

  • Mentoring Residents: Providing guidance and support to residents, helping them navigate their college experience.
  • Organizing Programs: Planning social, educational, and community-building activities for residents.
  • Ensuring Safety: Promoting a safe and inclusive living environment through policy enforcement and crisis response.

If you’re interested in becoming an RA or CA, learn more about the selection process and requirements on our RA/CA selection process page.

Panthers for Prevention

This group actively engages in raising awareness about issues such as sexual assault, substance abuse, and mental health. By joining Panthers for Prevention, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Educate Peers: Lead workshops and campaigns to educate fellow students on crucial topics related to safety and well-being.
  • Advocate for Change: Collaborate with campus administrators and community partners to advocate for policies that support a safer campus.
