Summit Park: Engagement Communities
Join the Summit Park Engagement Communities and make an impact! Students will complete a project, attend organization meetings, and dedicate 40 hours to their community each semester.

Application Process
Selection for Summit Park Engagement Communities will be by one application per group. Each community will house two units of 4. Groups of four will take preference, but individuals may apply. Applications and housing contracts are due by February 11th. Selections for Summit Park will be announced February 16, or the next business day.

Housing
Students reside in apartment buildings located at the corner of N. Summit Ave. and E. Calhoun St. Dedicated parking for these units is located directly behind the complex. The units include all major appliances including refrigerator, stove/oven, dishwasher, and free in-unit washer and dryer.

This is the lowest priced apartment option. Learn more about the amenities and pricing on the Housing website.

Eligibility
Applicants must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours in both the fall and spring semesters, have a cumulative GPA of 2.75, and in good academic/conduct standing with the University. Applicants must have graduated from high school at least a year prior to the fall semester to live in Summit Park.

Health and Wellness
Promote campus health and safety through programs on mental health, substance misuse, and other prevention topics. Join Panthers for Prevention(P4P) and lead wellness initiatives.

Campus Action
Support campus events like Fallfest, Homecoming, Family Weekend, and more! Enhance student life through service, mentoring, and campus improvements.

Sustainability
Lead environmental initiatives like recycling, campus gardening, and Sustainability Week. Promote a greener campus and community, reducing our footprint.

Community Impact
Make a difference in Springfield through service at shelters, food pantries, and clean-ups. Plan donation drives and community events.

Civic Responsibility
Build leadership by engaging with SGA and local governance. Create impactful campus projects and inspire civic involvement.
