Student Advocates for the Arts

Drury University > Life at Drury > Get Involved > Student Advocates for the Arts

About the Organization
Student Advocates of the Arts aligns perfectly with Drury’s idea of “virtue and virtuosity” by supporting and promoting the arts on campus and in the larger community. Members of Student Advocates of the Arts gain experience with public advocacy by speaking with representatives in the Missouri Congress and participating in local events, such as Springfield Artsfest. Members also gain a greater appreciation of the arts by attending and running different arts events on and off campus. Our motto is, “There’s a reason they call it creative genius,” and through Student Advocates of the Arts, we hope to foster students’ creativity with different arts events and projects, and encourage them to use that creativity to make a positive difference in our world.

Meetings
Student Advocates for the Arts meets every other week on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 at Drury’s C-Street Gallery.
