We invite all Drury students to apply for a Diversity Fellowship. In recognition of the 70th anniversary of the Brown vs. Board of Education decision, Diversity Fellows will focus on how to create and sustain a more inclusive campus and society.
Fellows will play an active role in creating programming for students and the Drury community. The work will include studying the history of segregation and marginalization in the United States and exploring visions for creating a more perfect union grounded in justice, equity, and inclusion.
Fellows will gain valuable skills that will serve them well in their personal and professional lives. Participants will learn much about themselves and others by engaging actively with other students and the Drury community around DEI.
Diversity Fellows should show a commitment to DEI, preferably through a demonstrated record of activities (i.e. participation in student groups or other organizations that seek to advance DEI) or a curiosity about learning more about DEI issues. They will commit to these responsibilities:
We will also select a small group Diversity Leadership Fellows who show the potential to play an active leadership role in the Fellows Program. In addition to the responsibilities described above, Diversity Leadership Fellows should be willing to serve on a steering committee that will meet on a regular basis.
Priority Deadline: April 14
