Attend this event to learn more about the Gilman award to help finance study abroad. All students who are Pell grant or military Title IV are invited. Snacks provided.
The award cycle is currently open for another round of Gilman study abroad applications due March 6 for Pell Grant students or students from military families receiving Title IV funding. Tuesday, Feb. 18, at noon I will be offering a session for Pell Grant students on the Gilman Scholarship and grant essays in Olin Library OO2 (basement). Snacks will be provided.
A new aspect of the Gilman is that there is no length of stay and that it may count for internships and research experiences abroad. Awards are generally around $3-5000. Students must demonstrate how the experience links to their program of study and future career. In the last three years Drury has had six Gilman Scholars who received study abroad funding, one every semester.
