Prerequisite: Satisfactory completion of the didactic phase of the PA program.
This course is designed to prepare students for their supervised clinical practice experiences (SCPE). Time will be spent developing and gathering the required information and documentation necessary for participation in SCPEs as well as training students in the use of the PA program’s case logging software. Discussion topics covered in this course include program requirements, professionalism expectations, HIPAA training, OSHA training, patient safety, prevention of medical errors, patient counseling/education, billing/coding, and professional portfolio development.
