Prerequisite: Completion of the didactic year of the Drury University Physician Assistant Program.
The five-week elective supervised clinical practice experience is designed to give students the opportunity to gain clinical experience in a specific area of interest. Areas of interest are chosen from a variety of disciplines including surgery, primary care, emergency medicine, behavioral health, or internal medicine specialties or subspecialties. Students will develop and implement care management plans for common medical conditions treatable by the chosen medical discipline. Students are expected to spend a minimum of 36-hours per week providing patient care at the clinical rotation site. Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grading.
