This course is the fourth in the clinical medicine series integrating epidemiology, risk factors (including genetics, as applicable), pathophysiology, signs and symptoms, history and physical findings, laboratory and diagnostic tests, differential diagnosis, therapeutic management, possible complications, preventative measures, prognosis, patient education and followup of emergent and non-emergent disorders encountered in a variety of medical settings for the pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient. The course utilizes a systems approach and is delivered through a combination of classroom activities. Topics covered in Clinical Medicine IV include surgery, obstetrics, and gynecology.
