Prerequisite: ARCH 112.
This studio develops students’ abilities to conceptualize and implement architectural ideas and respond to issues of environment, landscape, site, enclosure, program, and human experience. Emphasis will be placed on understandings of building as shelter, mediating between diverse human needs and the external world. Students will build upon content from previous studios, and will be introduced to the role of rigorous precedent analysis in the generation of architectural ideas. Offered fall semester. Course fee required.
