Advanced Painting continues the acquisition of technical skills and builds on the notion of relational thinking introduced in Painting I and Painting II, while focusing more fully on the evolution of the individual investigation in the student’s work. This investigation is comprised of the exploration and critique of personal and/or cultural ideologies, beliefs and interests through the activity of painting and reflection on the results and their implications.
