An in–depth examination of the cardiopulmonary, neuromuscular, and hormonal systems of humans in response to exercise, aging, and
disease. This course will emphasize three different and relevant topics related to exercise physiology and health across the lifespan. Content will include an introduction and overview of electrocardiogram (ECG) interpretation at rest and during exercise conditions, how the cardiopulmonary, neuromuscular, and hormonal systems respond to exercise, as well as how aging and disease influence all three systems.
