Janis Prewitt, J.D.

Professor of Management

Dr. Janis Prewitt has privately practiced law since 1989, advising clients on employment issues and other matters that impact business entities. She joined Drury faculty in 2005 and has taught a variety of courses covering topics from business law and management to corporate policy, ethics and leadership.

Dr. Prewitt’s research interests include employment discrimination, sexual harassment and the definition of “sex” under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act. Ethical issues related to employment and business law are always an interest covering such topics as damages in employment cases and other issues.
