Dr. Kevin P. Jansen teaches and conducts research with students at Drury in the areas of zoology, ecology, and evolution. After receiving his Ph.D. at the University of South Florida, Dr. Jansen held faculty and administrative positions at the University of Virginia’s College at Wise for nine years. His research interests include the life history, ecology, and evolution of vertebrates, particularly reptiles and amphibians; population genetics and phylogeography of animals, and the biogeography of southeastern vertebrates. Dr. Jansen’s recent studies with undergraduate students have focused on the effects of human land use practices on frog populations.
