Community Impact Grants are designed to connect Drury University to the local community by engaging students and their faculty mentors with non-profit organizations to advance recognized community priorities. Grants up to $7,500 are awarded for projects that will make a measurable impact on recognized challenges in the Springfield Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Community Impact Grants can support new initiatives or expand existing programs.

Grants from $2,500-$7,500 will be awarded.
Applicants must be full-time undergraduate or graduate Drury University students at the time of application and during the duration of the grant funded project.
Applicants must provide a signed statement from each nonprofit partner organization stating alignment with proposed project, level of support for proposed project, and agreed upon expectations for the deliverables.
All student project applicants must complete a Community Impact Grant Workshop prior to grant submission.
Community Focus Grants are short-term grants up to $1,000 to support student-initiated projects that impact community priorities through a partnership with a nonprofit partner. These grants are designed to provide engagement that leads to a competitive Community Impact Grant.
Grants up to $1,000 will be awarded.

Central to the academic experience are competitive experiential learning grants. Individual students or teams of students will use the grants to engage in real-world challenges or activities that stretch beyond the theoretical, providing hands-on learning opportunities that are critical to thriving in today’s complex, ever-changing world.
