Mr. George is the President of G3 Consulting, LLC, a boutique advisory firm specializing in value creation in small and mid-market consumer products companies, a company he founded in 2013. Mr. George served as President of the American Italian Pasta Company and Corporate Vice President of Ralcorp Holdings from 2010 until its sale to Conagra Foods in 2013. Mr. George served as Chief Operating Officer at American Italian Pasta Company from 2008 to 2010. From 2001 to 2008, Mr. George served in other executive roles with American Italian Pasta Company, including as Senior Vice President—Supply Chain and Logistics and Executive Vice President—Operations and Supply Chain. From 1988 through 2001, Mr. George held a number of senior operating positions with Hill’s Pet Nutrition, a subsidiary of Colgate Palmolive Company, most recently as Vice President of Supply Chain. Mr. George is non-executive chairman of the board of Indigo Wild, LLC.
Walt graduated from Drury with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1979, majoring in sociology and communication studies. He completed his education with an MBA from Rockhurst University. While at Drury, Walt was a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity. A past member of the Breech Advisory Board, he received a Drury Distinguished Alumni Award in 2010.
Walt’s family has a long tradition of ties to Drury starting with his great grandfather, Joseph Henry George, who served as Drury’s 5th president in the early 1900s. Other Drury relatives include mother, Mary George ’47; brother, Joseph George ’72; and brother, Francis George ’80.
Walt and his wife, Susan (Robison) George ’80, live in Fairway, Kansas. They have two adult children, a daughter, Lindsey (George) Vickery ’04, and a son, Chip.
