Derek Cozzens holds a Bachelor of Arts in English, an International Masters of International Management (now named the Masters of International Business Administration) with an emphasis on International Finance. He was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. He was an All American and national champion swimmer. He now lives in Boulder and spends time in Estes Park, Colorado.
Derek is an engaged member of the executive team for his own companies in real estate and hospitality services. He has worked with several large Private Equity Funds as a consultant, Chief Financial Officer, Auditor, and advisor. Focus industries during his career have been primarily in manufacturing: from online sales and distribution to cut and sew clothing and luggage (domestic and international operations), medical device, industrial parts, high tech solar manufacturing, CPG, food manufacturing, food ingredient, large industrial equipment (oil & gas), mining, O&G operations, semiconductor equipment, and restaurants.
